Airing Pain dives back into the sound waves
Pain Concern’s radio show Airing Pain returns for a second series.
Airing Pain – an online radio show designed to support those living with chronic pain – is launching the second series on 1st November 2011, broadcast on Able Radio.
Shows are broadcast fortnightly on Tuesdays and Sundays at 8pm at www.ableradio.com. Previous podcasts are also available for download at: http://www.painconcern.org.uk/category/airing-pain
Airing Pain is the only UK radio show dedicated to educating and empowering those living with chronic pain. Airing Pain, created by Pain Concern, provides valuable information on living with chronic pain, the conditions that cause it, and how to manage it.
The new series will cover issues such as family therapy, socio-political factors and headaches. Shows include interviews with pain specialists and other medical professionals as well as personal stories from individuals living with pain. The first series, which consisted of 18 shows, looked at issues such as neuropathic pain, young people in pain, and power over mind and body.
Presenter and producer Paul Evans adds: “For someone living in the bubble of chronic pain, this knowledge is life-changing and I am able grateful to be able to spread it”
