help!
My hubby has an ongoing pain problem and we are falling apart. He has neck problems that cause a crushing head pain he is on all sorts of pain meds that all have there lovely side effects and its all starting to get to me (i know this is sounding selfish) we have a little girl (3) and we both feel she is missing out. We have been told that he will never work again and he cant look after our LO on his own cos he cant concentrate properly, yet he is ok to drive.
is there anything out there that could help???

Re: help!
hi, i am new and hope you are ok, i am on the other side of the fence, i am very poorley i have had 5 back ops, 3 over the last 3 years, i am 38 and have 3 children, i am dosed up on high levels of morphine that do great things for your personality,, !! my husband works alot of hours he is self employed, he comes in and has to start again, tea the washing, bath kids to bed etc etc and deep down i am crying, i lay in bed unable to get around and the guilt i feel is beyond beleif, i guess ur husband must have these feelings too, hes dealing with pain and then he cannot provide as he wants to,you must be lonely, i too feel my children miss out, but not only the children we do as ill people, as couples as mums and as dads, we have cried lauged tried to make sense of it all, i think as long as you are honest and talk that helps, the other things is do not feel guily if you go out with your daughter and friends i learnt very early on i have to be happy to watch my hubby and kids go off for nice days out
i hope this helps and i havnt rabbled on, please let me know how you go

Re: help!
Hi, I can see that not many people use this but i wish there were more of us, as i too feel alone. My hubby has chronic back problems and pain, pain killers aren't doing a great job so brings lack of sleep then the irritability. Although he has good days the bad days really are bad, to be told you don't support them when you are doing all you can with no help yourself is hard. If any of you want to message me please do as this is the only place i have found to contact family that are in the same position.
