Radio Show Airs Pain
A new radio show will give information and support to the 7.8 million people in the UK who live with chronic pain.
Airing Pain will be launched on Able Radio in August, and listeners can hear it broadcast on the internet or as a podcast.
Pain Concern is the force behind the show as we won an award of £10,000 from the The Napp Awards in Chronic Pain to fund the project.
The show will look at topics like expert self-management of pain, treatment options, staying in work, and state benefits. It will include stories of people’s own experience of pain, and Q and A sessions with healthcare professionals.
Our patron Claire Raynor, former nurse, agony aunt and author says "Do learn about what pain management means and take action accordingly. I have!"
Keep checking for updates on when we will be on air.
We are currently fundraising for this exciting project and would be grateful for any donations. Donations can be made from this link http://www.painconcern.org.uk/pages/page92.php or through Just Giving http://www.justgiving.com/Charity/Donate.aspx?cid=186805
