Describes me exactly!
I am especially interested in Kate McGarva’s Coping with Grief, Anger and Depression which is on your web site. She describes reaching a thought pattern which is “rigid, self-blaming, catastrophising and jumping to conclusions.” That describes me exactly! If I am lucky my patience lasts half an hour. After that I over-react to everything. So nice to realize that it is the normal result of living with pain. All this stress has led to high blood pressure. After various delays this is now being treated. I feel a lot better and have less pain and stiffness, especially at night. I recommend that pain sufferers in a similar situation have their blood pressure checked.
I have had fibromyalgia since 1997. I particularly recommend cranio-osteopathy, Alexander Technique, a physiotherapist who is prepared to work with one pain after another, also a really, really healthy diet. I follow Patrick Holford’s advice.
